The Forum provides a platform for companies and individuals to explore sustainable development, share knowledge, experiences and best practices, and to advocate business positions on these issues in a variety of forums, working with various governments, non-governmental and intergovernmental organizations.

The Forum's mandate is to assist Indian organisations and to improve their performance and capabilities by providing the best practice business framework and by offering support, training, assessment services, access to Award programmes and networking with like-minded organisations.
